Why Do Business With a WMLA Member?

Financing your home is likely to be the most significant personal transaction you will ever make. It is definitely not the time to take chances on businesses or individuals of unknown reputation or standards.

WMLA has represented mortgage lending companies that work to maintain the highest levels of professionalism within the Wyoming mortgage industry. Our corporate membership means that every employee of a member firm is considered a WMLA member. From front line mortgage originators to owners ad presidents of companies, WMLA represents more than 200 people who work in the Wyoming mortgage lending industry.

It is our mission to e an industry association, not just a trade association. We do not represent one segment of the industry, but a cross section of all types of lenders and industry affiliates.

Our membership includes mortgage bankers, mortgage brokers, commercial banks, credit unions and a myriad of industry service providers.

WMLA membership is voluntary; no company is required to join our association. We believe that the willingness of our members to seek out educational opportunities in order to better train their employees, submission to our Code of Ethics, and their commitment to cooperate with the association in resolving questions or complaints from consumers, demonstrates their desire to do business professionally and ethically.

As a consumer, it is important to recognize that WMLA is not a referral source for mortgage companies. It is not our mission to act as a conduit of business for any individual lender. While we will not generally recommend one company over another, we do strongly suggest that all Wyoming consumers include WMLA members in the comparative shopping. We believe this will lead consumers to the right mortgage loan at a fair price, combined with the best possible service.

We sincerely believe that you will receive a better mix of price, quality and speed by doing business with a WMLA member company.
